Rubber Reinforced

Main Rubber Supply can supply various reinforced rubber products for dynamic or static use. Typical cover compounds are Neoprene rubber or SBR rubber but other compound such as EPDM rubber are also available. In the category of reinforced rubber we can also supply conveyor belting which can be much thicker, stronger and contain more reinforcing plies.

Cloth Inserted Rubber (C.I. Packing)

This reinforced rubber which is made of synthetic fabric maintains the properties of SBR rubber with the added benefit of woven nylon cloth insert for added puncture resistance, stability and tear strength. Used generally where the forces are static in nature. Available in widths of 36” and 48” wide and in thicknesses of 1/16” 1ply, 3/32” 1 ply, 1/8” 1 ply, 1/8” 2 ply, 3/16” 2 ply, ¼” 2 ply. Shore A Hardness is 70 +-5. Color Black. This product is available both in commercial grade or premium grade.  Maximum roll lengths range from 100 feet for 1/16” to 66 feet long for the balance of the thicknesses. Typical uses are industrial door weather-stripping and shop table covers.

Neoprene/Nylon Diaphragm Rubber

This reinforced rubber which is made of synthetic fabric maintains the properties of Neoprene rubber with the added benefit of woven nylon cloth insert for added puncture resistance, stability and tear strength. Used generally where the forces are dynamic in nature. Available in widths of 48” wide and in thicknesses of 1/16” 1ply, 3/32” 1 ply, 1/8” 1 ply, 1/8” 2 ply, 3/16” 2 ply, ¼” 2 ply. Shore A Hardness is 60 +-5. Color Black. This product is available both in commercial grade or premium grade.  Maximum roll lengths range from 100 feet for 1/16” to 66 feet long for the balance of the thicknesses. This rubber is capable of permitting relative motion between a stationary and moving member while maintaining a separation of the two media. Typically used as a gasket in control devices, meters, regulators, pumps and other special devices. Often mechanically fastened for weather-stripping.

Conveyor Belting (Heavy Duty)

Conveyor belt has advantages over  CI Packing and Neoprene/Nylon Diaphragm sheet with thickness and plies and is often used for non conveyor use in applications such as mobile street sweeper machine squeegees, plows, deflectors, snow plow blades, skirting, seals, etc. and is very strong, puncture resistant and abrasion resistant. Thicknesses can be obtained up to 1” thick but typically the thickness for fabricated parts is in the 5/8” thick range. Reinforcement of plies is typically 2 ply but can range up to 6 plies of nylon, polyester or Kevlar. Widths are custom slit but usually start out at 60” wide which can be slit down to your specifications.

Chute & Launder Lining

This rubber has a synthetic fabric making the rubber extremely resistant to tearing and stretching. It is typically used in chutes as an abrasion and tear resistant liner and is often mechanically fastened to the chute by elevator bolts. The fabric backing assists in fastener retention. Supplied in 50 foot long rolls and in thicknesses ¼ ,3/8”, ½” ¾” and 1”. Color black.
